Grateful for Opportunities

I was all prepared to write a post about how grateful I am for summertime outings with the grandchildren when I got an email that has me so excited I just have to post about it. So instead of just being grateful for the opportunity to spend time enjoying summer outings with the grand kids, I am grateful for the many opportunities coming my way.
This last week has been an exhausting week, on top of the usual fun photo shoots; enjoyable memory design work and annoying administrative work that goes along with running my business, I was anxiously awaiting to hear if I had made the cut for the Point the Tail art show a juried art exhibit and sale that will be featuring 20 to 30 of the top artists in the Sioux Falls, SD region. I got the news today, I AM IN! This is so exciting, no it isn't my first juried art exhibit but it is the first one where they were limiting art to the top 20 or 30 artists. Although this exhibit is only one night I feel it is a great honor and a giant opportunity. If you follow me you may have read my poem on Inner Turmoil and realized that at times like others I am faced with self doubt. While I do currently have one art piece in Avera Prairie Centers 'Art of Healing' digital art show which features many wonderful and talented artists, some of which are very well known in this region the self doubt was still nagging at the back of my mind. Having my art accepted is always a great honor however, having it accepted to this particular show has given me a much needed boost in confidence.
The Point the Tail art show is being held to promote and raise funds for an artist retreat, you can learn more about the retreat and about the different artists and art work being featured in this show on Point the Tail's blog. If you are in the area stop on by and enjoy the this great exhibit.
