Sunday In My City: Blustery Day

Saturday was such a beautiful mild afternoon it would have been the perfect day to capture the shots I had planned for my Scavenger Hunt Sunday submissions at a local beach park here in Norfolk.
Awe, but I had already made plans to meet a client for a shoot at a park more inland, and my daughter and grandchildren had plans for a trip to the library. So instead we waited to go to the beach until today.

While we did have fun we made the trip rather quickly as the wind was steering up quiet a mist off the ocean. Even with a protective plastic covering for my camera the heavy mist was making it difficult to get the shots I had planned. Although I didn't get the exact shot I was going to take, I did get some cool shots.

We will just have to go back on a day that isn't so blustery. I am sure it wont be hard to convince the kids to go again. You can check out my SHS submissions here, and don't forget to hop over to Unknown Mami's to visit other Cities.

Just wanted to say I had another shot I was planing on linking to a different post for my Sunday best but silly me put the wrong link in mr. Linky so I chose the letter in the bottle as my best for sentimental reasons. This is actually the post I wanted to link to for my Sunday Best. :D

Loving that note in a coke picture.

I tried to swim at VA Beach once - - - that water was COLD even in August.

:-) Great choice - that message in a bottle. What does the message say, I wonder? I love photos of kids - the second picture is so sweet!

Was extremely windy here this weekend and we received some severe storms Saturday night. Lovely capture of the message in the Coke bottle!

Thank you for sharing at Your Sunday Best this week. xoxo
